F-Gas: we do not look for leaks, we record how the plant behaves

This page exists to be clear about a boundary. F-Gas obligations sit on leak checking and on the log of those checks, and that work belongs to your refrigeration contractor. What we keep is a different document about the same equipment: what it did, hour by hour, between one check and the next.

What we record

What the operating record contains

None of this is a measurement of refrigerant. It is a measurement of what the equipment is doing, taken continuously from the controllers and the sensors already in the rooms.

Run hours per unitHow long each compressor actually ran, rather than how long it was scheduled to.
Controller parametersCompressor status, pressures, defrost cycles and alarms, as the controller itself reports them.
Room temperatureWhat the plant is achieving, continuously, per room and per case.
Longer run times for the same resultA unit holding the same temperature on more running is a change worth someone looking at, and it shows in the trend before it shows in the room.
Event logEvery deviation with its start, duration and return to range, and who was alerted.
ExportXLS and PDF for any period, per unit or per facility.
Unbroken historyThe record continues through a power cut, so the period has no gap in it.

We do not detect refrigerant leaks. There is no refrigerant sensor in what we supply, we do not carry out leak checks, and we do not keep your F-Gas log: that is a record of checks, quantities added and recovered, and the person who did the work, and it belongs to your refrigeration contractor. Nothing here satisfies an F-Gas obligation on its own, and nothing on this site makes a facility compliant with the regulation. What we add is the part that usually is not written down anywhere: how the equipment actually behaved between the checks.
