Greenhouse climate: a reading is only worth something if it moves a vent

Temperature, humidity and CO2 per zone, with ventilation, heating and irrigation acting on those readings rather than on a person walking the rows. Every house you run, in one system.

What we monitor and control in a greenhouse

Monitoring on its own tells you the house went out of range overnight. Control does something about it at 03:00, which is the part that saves the crop.

Temperature per zoneEach house and each bay with its own range, set separately for day and night.
HumidityRelative humidity alongside temperature, for the conditions the crop actually sits in.
CO2Where the air composition is managed as well as the temperature.
Ventilation and ventsFan and vent status, with switching confirmed rather than assumed.
HeatingBoilers, circuits and heaters driven by a schedule or by a threshold.
Irrigation pumpsConfirmed starts, running outside the schedule, and emergency stops.
Soil moisture and ECSubstrate and field zones, so watering follows the reading.
Backup powerMains loss, switchover and generator start: heating and vents both depend on it.

We control climate equipment - vents, fans, heating, irrigation pumps - on schedules and on thresholds. We are not a growing recipe: we do not model crop stages, run photoperiod light recipes or dose nutrients. If you already have a grower controller, we sit alongside it and cover what it does not see, such as power, tank levels and the houses at the far end of the facility.

A house that goes out of range at 02:00 will not wait for the morning shift

Start with the zones where one night without control costs a crop.

How it works in practice

Situation and system response

Situation
What the system does
What you get
Temperature climbs on a sunny afternoon
Vents and fans move to the next stage on the reading, not on a timer
The crop is not cooked while nobody is in the house
A frost night with a heating fault
The temperature drop and the heating status are both recorded, and someone is alerted
The house is reached before the crop is lost
An irrigation pump runs outside its schedule
Confirmed starts and consumption are compared against the plan
Water and power are not spent overnight for nothing
Several houses at one location
Zones and their limits sit together on one plan
The grower sees the facility, not four separate controllers

Rollout

From pilot to full coverage

STEP 1

Facility review

We look at what is installed, which parameters are critical and where the losses are today.

At your facility or remote
STEP 2

Pilot on 5-10 points

A gateway, sensors and meters on the riskiest zones. Installed without stopping operations.

A few hours per facility
STEP 3

Dashboards and reports

We draw up the facility plan, set the limits for each point, the alerts and the report formats.

Shaped around your processes
STEP 4

Scaling up

The same kit across the remaining zones and facilities, with a single view for the whole company.

No new approvals needed
Next step

We will set out the zones and what should react to them

Send us the layout of your houses and what each zone has to hold. We will propose the control points and which equipment should respond to them.

Request a facility review

Just a few lines is enough. We will prepare a preliminary estimate and an equipment list before we talk.

Name and contact are required. Everything else is optional.

Your name, then a comma, then your company. For example: Maria Santos, Acme Foods

An email address such as name@company.com. Or a phone number with the country code, starting with a plus sign, for example +44 20 7123 4567 or +49 30 1234 5678.

Where the facility is, which may not be where you are. It tells us which rules apply and who picks the enquiry up.

For example: 3 houses, vents and heating on thresholds, irrigation pumps, one screen for all of them

We reply within one business day. We never share your details.

If the security check does not load, or you would rather not use this form, email us at sales@polymetrica.net - it reaches the same team.
